Erika Labbé Waghorn is an Astronomer and Outreach Coordinator for the Instituto de Estudios Astrofísicos of Diego Portales University (UDP) in Chile. She obtained her M.Sc. degree at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and since then she has taught General Training courses in astronomy, cosmology, science, and scientific communication at various universities, developing a marked taste for enthusing everyone with the wonders of science.

Since 2015, she has been developing collaborative Inclusive Astronomy projects, assuming management roles in interdisciplinary networks such as the “Inclusive Astronomy” group, creating accessible learning experiences for people with disabilities, training students and teachers, giving workshops and conferences in Chile and abroad, and since 2019 she has been involved in associations related to inclusion, such as the “Astronomía Inclusiva” group, the Inclusion and Gender working group of the Chilean Astronomical Society (SOCHIAS), and the “Visual Challenged” group of the International Astronomical Union.
