Full Professor<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I am a full professor at the IEA. My expertise focuses on studying the interstellar and circumgalactic medium (ISM and CGM) of galaxies to understand how they form, grow and evolve, using a variety of facilities including ALMA, JWST, VLA, etc. I am involved in some forthcoming sub-mm survey telescopes like CCAT and CMB-S4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Projects<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

I study the formation and evolution of galaxies through cosmic time, using a wide variety of observations obtained with ground-based and space telescopes, including ALMA, JWST, VLT, Gemini, Magellan, HST, etc. I am also actively working on several projects to study the environment of galaxies and formation of structures at early times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am the PI of the JWST GO3 ORCHIDS program (Origin of the [CII] Halos in Distant. Systems; 43 hrs; ID 5974) and I am co-PI of a JWST GO2 program to investigate the properties of a starbursting galaxy merger at the core of a forming protocluster at z=4.5 (17 hrs; ID 4265).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am co-PI of three ALMA large programs: The ALMA Spectroscopic Survey of the Hubble UDF (ASPECS; www.aspecs.info), CRISTAL: A survey of gas, dust, and stars in star-forming galaxies when the Universe was ~1 billion years old<\/em> (www.alma-cristal.info) and the CHAMPS survey: A Wide<\/em>-Area Comprehensive Survey of the Dusty Universe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
