I graduated with my PhD degree from UDP in 2023. My work focused on the study of galaxies within and near the Epoch of Reionization.

Projects

My research includes studying the morphology of [CII] in “ordinary” galaxies in the early universe, searching for Lyman-alpha emitters around a quasar at z=6.9 to resolve observational tensions regarding whether high-z quasars reside at the centers of protoclusters, and searching for ALMA cube data for Hot Dust Obscured Galaxies. I have also achieved the first direct detection of a [CII] halo.

Highlights

First direct detection of a [CII] halo.

Publications

NASA ADS

My PhD thesis titled “Exploring [CII] Haloes and Quasar Environments in and near the Epoch of Reionization” can be found here.

Extracurricular activities

Outside of research, I enjoy playing chess, reading books, and having a beer.

Former PhD student, and current Research Associate at ICRAR – interested in studying the morphology of [CII] in ordinary galaxies in the early Universe, and inHot-DOGs.

[259
