Currently, I am centering on studying dust in protoplanetary and debris disks from an observational and laboratory point of view. I am addressing the observational analysis with data from ALMA and JWST of different disks, and the laboratory analysis with data measured with a Fourier Transform InfraRed (FTIR) Spectrometer Bruker Vertex 80v at the Cosmic Dust Laboratory (CDL) of Universidad Diego Portales (UDP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Projects<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>I am working on two main projects, the first one related to measurements at the CDL and the second one with data from ALMA and JWST observations. At the cosmic dust laboratory, we perform absorbance spectra measurements of meteorites from the Atacama Desert. By now, we possess samples of carbonaceous chondrites and ordinary chondrites, and we plan to increase our collection with new categories of meteorites. These measurements allow us to obtain the dust opacity for different grain size in the infrared and sub millimeter range. As work in process, we plan to apply laboratory infrared measurements to dust observations in protoplanetary disk with JWST to characterize minerals and opacities along the disk. For sub millimeter range, we acquired ALMA data from cycle 8 and cycle 9 of around 100 targets in Ophiuchus Cloud, that allows us to compare and characterize dust opacity along the disks with laboratory measurements.
