Utilizamos esta idea para desarrollar herramientas filogen\u00e9ticas que permitan estudiar la evoluci\u00f3n de las galaxias utilizando las abundancias qu\u00edmicas como rasgo hereditario. Sin embargo, esta informaci\u00f3n solo puede ser precisa y exacta si se valida con un conjunto de estrellas de referencia. En la UDP, lideramos el ensamblaje y an\u00e1lisis de estas estrellas de validaci\u00f3n, as\u00ed como los esfuerzos para garantizar que, entre estas estrellas, algunas tambi\u00e9n sean observadas por otros estudios espectrosc\u00f3picos como 4MOST, WEAVE y DESI. formaci\u00f3n y crecimiento a\u00fan son inciertos. Por ejemplo, las teor\u00edas actuales proponen que podr\u00edan formarse in situ a partir del gas que se canaliza hacia el centro de la galaxia, mientras que otras teor\u00edas sugieren que se originaron como c\u00famulos globulares m\u00e1s alejados de la galaxia que migraron hacia el interior con el tiempo. En realidad, es probable que ambos mecanismos sean ciertos, y que el mecanismo dominante dependa de la masa de la galaxia.
