Pedro Henrique S.S.P. NogueiraPhD Candidate
Pedro Henrique S. S. P. Nogueira, born in Brazil, did his Bachelor in Astronomy with an emphasis in Computational Astronomy at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His bachelor thesis was about dynamical simulations of exoplanetary systems, advised by Dr. Fernando Roig (Observatório Nacional, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). He obtained a Master’s in Astronomy at Observatório Nacional, Brazil. His master thesis focused on transiting detection of exoplanets and brown dwarfs using Kepler data, while advised by Dr. Luan Ghezzi (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). Now, he is working with Dr. Alice Zurlo using NIR high-contrast imaging technique for exoplanetary and brown dwarf detections. He is also working with radio/sub-mm observations of protostars and protoplanetary disks with Dr. Lucas Cieza. He likes to spare his free time at the gym, drinking coffee, petting animals, watching movies, or playing ping-pong.
