Professor Lorena Hernández, a member of the Academic Faculty of the Instituto de Estudios Astrofísicos at Universidad Diego Portales, was awarded the L’Oreal For Women in Science Award, granted by L’Oreal Chile and UNESCO, in collaboration with La Agencia Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo (ANID), in the Postdoctoral category.
“The main objective of the For Women in Science (FWIS) Award is to recognize female talent in the national scientific landscape, amplifying the visibility of each of the winners, highlighting their careers and research, and also providing funding so they can continue to advance their careers,” ANID emphasizes.
