Visiting Masters Student

I’m a visiting Master’s student at ETH Zurich, working at UDP with Prof. Lucas Cieza and Dr. Lia Sartori (ETHZ), in collaboration with Prof. Sascha Quanz (ETHZ). My research focuses on multi-frequency simulations of planet-induced substructures in protoplanetary disks, using PlanetaLP and RADMC-3D to connect disk morphology with planet formation and to support the interpretation of ALMA observations within the ODISEA collaboration.

Projects

My thesis involves generating multi-wavelength synthetic ALMA observations to study how planet mass, disk viscosity, and dust fragmentation shape observable disk structures, aiming to refine constraints and break parameter degeneracies.

Before starting my thesis, I completed an exchange semester at the University of Copenhagen (Niels Bohr Institute) and conducted two projects at ETH Zurich: one on neutrino detectors and one comparing astrometric and radial velocity methods for exoplanet detection.

Extracurricular activities

I enjoy traveling to explore new places and people, educating myself on social justice, practicing all kinds of sports, in particular gymnastics, reading, and spending time with my loved ones.
