Javiera Espinoza

PhD student

I am a PhD student interested in small primitive objects of the Solar System, their formation and evolution.

Projects

My research focuses on small objects from the Solar System: asteroids, comets, and Centaurs. More specifically, the characterization of ejecta after a kinematic impact and dust particle distribution (as seen in NASA’s DART mission), and the search and detection of volatile material in comets and active Centaurs.

Extracurricular activities

I spend my free time reading books of various topics, I am particularly interested Hellenistic philosophy, and cosmic horror.
