I am part of faculty since 2014 and full professor at IEA. I am currently the Director of IEA since January 2023. My research focuses on the study of astrophysical transients and their characterization.
Current Position: Full professor (Titular) and Director at IEA
Projects:
I work on supernova explosions and other astrophysical transient sources using observations to try to understand their physical properties (progenitors and explosion mechanisms) and their host environments.
Highlights
- I am part of the All-Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae (ASAS-SN) since the survey started in 2013, an all-sky survey that is using small telescopes to study the transient and variable Universe.
- From ASAS-SN, I would highlight this publication: https://ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2014ApJ…788…48S/abstract, which has already more than 1300 citations.
