Kevin Hoy
PhD student
I’m a PhD student working on exomoon hunting and atmospheric characterization of directly-imaged substellar companions.
Projects
I am currently working on high-precision data reduction for CRIRES+ and its companion instrument HiRISE. By pushing these instruments to their limits, we aim to discover new exomoon candidates, a class of object without a single confirmed detection to date. We will also be using our data to analyze the atmospheric characteristics of our targets, with future plans to examine variability in their apparent nature.
Highlights
I am a member of the YEMS Millennium Nucleus.
