Our PhD program in Astrophysics offers extensive research opportunities for graduated students in physics, astronomy, and related fields, as well as unique experience for international graduated students interested in using and observing with large telescopes located in Chile. Starting in 2019, the PhD program has accepted over 25 students from diverse backgrounds. Its distinctive feature is enabling students to engage in research projects right from the program’s start. So far, students have contributed to over 75 scientific publications and undertaken internships at ESO.
