Leopoldo Infante
Adjunct Professor
I am an Adjunct Professor at IEA-UDP, where I advise professors and students in the Astrophysics doctoral program. Outside of UDP, I run an international observatory that belongs to the Carnegie Institution for Science.
Projects
I study the first galaxies of the universe, their formation and evolution. This work is part of the cosmological and astrophysical context.
Highlights
- Guggenheim Fellowship, DAAD Fellowship, Beca Presidente de la República.
- Director at the Las Campanas Observatory
- Director of the Cielos de Chile and Altura Patrimonio foundations. Ranks fourth among the best physicists in Chile and seventh in Latin America.
