Saimurali Kolupuri
PhD Student
I am an international student from India, pursuing my doctoral research in astronomy.
Projects
I am currently working on radio-loud quasars at cosmic dawn. For my first project, I am specifically exploring the environments of these high-redshift radio-loud quasars to investigate whether they reside in the most overdense regions of the universe, as predicted by simulations. To do this, I am searching for Lyman-alpha emitters using MUSE observations. I plan to follow up by exploring these fields at other wavelengths to uncover the diverse range of galaxies that may be hiding in plain sight in these environments.
Highlights
I have a publication based on my master’s thesis, titled “The [NII] 205 μm line emission from high-z submillimeter galaxies and quasar host galaxies,” published in Astronomy & Astrophysics (A&A).
